Chapter 02 Who we are The Hive is transforming the ways in which Americans engage with the refugee crisis. We are here as a special projects unit of the UN’s Refugee Agency ([UNHCR](https://www.unrefugees.org)). We’re changing the way Americans change the world. Chapter 03 How we help ## Our Approach We’re building knowledge about issues relating to refugees so that Americans will grow more committed to solving the refugee crisis. We’re using data science to identify and micro-target prospective supporters. And we’re developing strategic partnership opportunities for corporations and brands that change everything we know about philanthropy and advocacy. This is not about charity. We’re here to help the United States solve a problem that truly only the United States can solve. We’re here to unlock the potential of the U.S. market – both in terms of fundraising and advocacy – in support of the most pressing issue of our time. Chapter 04 The path ## The Path We’ll Take - Data RichProprietary data informed ideas and decisions. - Audience-CentricWhat it will take for Americans to engage? We’ll organize our efforts to meet their needs. - Trust and EngagementGenuine opportunities for individuals to play a role in making change. - Content HeavyWe think like a publisher and act like a media company. We are creating information, experiences and “stuff” that will drive engagement, understanding, and involvement. - Digital-FirstAll-inclusive content approach designed to maximize storytelling across digital platforms. Chapter 05 What you can do ## You can help. Here’s how… Wanted: Partners, rock stars, agencies, not your average vendor. We can’t make change happen alone or over night – that is why we need you.
